Über Sophie
I’m Sophie — a singer-songwriter and musician. Passionate about music since I was 3 years old (that's when I joined music school and started playing violin). I have 12 years of classical training. I teach lessons in English or Russian — I speak both languages fluently. I play flute, piano, ukulele, and kalimba. I love when lessons feel like a relaxed chat over tea with a friend, where you learn something new without stress. Based in Berlin — lessons available in person or online.

The world of music is a vast canvas made of keys. Music is everywhere, it's a language all of us understand. For some, it’s a second. For others — their first, the one they felt before they could speak. Only you know what it is for you. Together, we’ll structure your understanding of this musical language: – What is music really doing to our emotions? – Why do some chords feel warm, and some sound like questions? – What is the Circle of Fifths? – How do you tell a major seventh from a diminished fifth? We’ll connect theory to feeling, and practice to sound. You’ll learn to hear intervals, recognize scales, follow rhythm, and understand what makes harmony move. We’ll dive into the roots of Western music theory — and use your ears as our main guide. Whether you’re a beginner or already have some musical background, we’ll work together to deepen your understanding and sharpen your ear. Music is a tool for expressing emotions — let’s learn how it works.
