Über Manuel
I have a solid classical and high education but left academia and I am living fully as a freelance artist. I've released albums, played international festivals with my own original work, and have produced soundtracks for dance, theater, cinema and TV. When I was doing my doctoral degree, I experienced teaching for undergrads (at CalArts) and I had taught private music lessons for decades. I am based in between Berlin, Copenhagen and São Paulo. I love to teach and support people on their creative journeys.

Each lesson is designed to the specific creative needs of each student, and the method is "learn by doing". Here are some situations I could help you with: - You are a total beginner and want to learn piano. - You want to learn how to read & write music. - You want to learn the basics of improvisation. - You want to apply music theory to music making. - You want to do ear training and learn how to recognize chord progressions. - You want to compose, either by recording improvisations or notating on the score. - You want to develop creative techniques of sound design. - You want to develop an experimental sound practice. - You want to create sound for moving image. - You want to code your own synthesizer from scratch with Supercollider. - You want to develop a full-length solo original performance. - You want to produce a full solo album in your bedroom.
