Über Mark
My name is Mark Evans (versteckte Information) a Romanian electronic music producer and DJ based in Berlin, currently studying Electronic Music Production at the Catalyst – Institute for Creative Arts and Technology, with the goal of connecting with other artists and creating new opportunities.
My musical journey began at an early age. I started playing piano at 4, drums at 7, and guitar at 8. Over the years, I refined my skills and built my own recording studio, where I dedicate myself daily to producing music that inspires and influences others.
Electronic music has always been my passion, and I’ve made it my life’s mission to push boundaries and innovate within the genre. I’ve collaborated with record labels including Cat Music Romania (7.74M), where I have two officially signed tracks.
Through my lessons, I share not only technical knowledge but also the creative mindset and professional techniques used in today’s electronic music industry. Whether you’re a complete beginner or already producing, I’ll guide you step by step through Ableton Live or FL Studio, helping you master sound design, arrangement, mixing, and finishing your own tracks.
My teaching approach is personalized and hands-on — every student works on their own music, learns practical workflows, and receives constructive feedback after each session. My goal is to give you confidence in your creativity and help you achieve professional, industry-ready results.
After 10 focused lessons, you’ll be able to create a complete track from scratch, applying all the tools and techniques we cover together!
Lessons are available in English or Romanian, online or in person in Berlin.

As a music producer and DJ, I combine formal education with hands-on experience from the electronic music scene. My approach is completely practical and personalized – every student works on their own music from the very first session. I believe the best way to learn production is by doing, not just watching. I guide you through every step of the creative process, from the initial idea to the finished, industry-ready track. My lessons are fully structured and comprehensive, designed to take you from the fundamentals all the way to producing professional, creative tracks.
Here’s what you can expect:
- Technical and theoretical knowledge: From sound basics to microphone types, recording techniques, mixing consoles, DAWs, and plugin workflows.
- Hands-on DAW training: Learn Ableton Live or FL Studio in depth – every button, every plugin, every technique is explained and applied directly to your own music.
- Music history and culture: Explore the roots of electronic music – from Detroit Techno, Chicago House, and Disco to modern EDM – so you understand the context behind the sounds.
- (Optional) Presentations, slides, and documents: I provide rich materials including PDF books, slideshows, and handouts that we discuss and explore together in class.
- Creative coaching & feedback: Every student gets dedicated time to present their own tracks. We listen, give feedback, and discuss ways to improve creativity and workflow – including practical advice to unlock your musical potential.
After just 10 lessons, you’ll be able to create a complete electronic track from scratch, applying all the techniques we cover together!
We work directly in Ableton Live or FL Studio, focusing on:
- Building strong arrangements and grooves;
- Sound design and synthesis (you’ll learn using top-tier plugins);
- Mixing techniques and achieving professional loudness and clarity.
- You’ll also receive homework projects and personalized feedback on your tracks between sessions!
A typical lesson plan:
- Quick progress check / track feedback from your previous session;
- Demonstration of a new concept and immediate application to your own project;
- Q&A and wrap-up with a small “creative challenge” or task for next time

I would like to recommend my bestfriend, Mark, who has always been by my side and supported me through everything. Over the years, I’ve seen his amazing progress in music and how much passion he puts into his work as a DJ and as a music producer. Together with him I discovered a passion for editing and doing different things on the video side. We also went on a tour through Europe where I had the opportunity to witness the production of several music videos on his channel. We went to several of his events together in Romania and honestly they were very good and in general the selection of music he plays is very good.
