Über Jeff
I’m a Berlin-based drummer originally from Nashville, with over 8 years of professional touring experience.
I’ve performed internationally across the US, Canada, the UK, Europe, Japan, and Australia, working in many genres including rock, metal, country, and pop.
I’ve worked with a variety of artists, including Sylar (nu-metal), Morgan Wade (country), Ryan Hurd (country/rock), and Thomas Day (indie/pop). I’ve also performed alongside musicians such as Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine), Joe Bonamassa, and Maren Morris.
As a teacher, my focus is on helping you develop real, practical skills you can actually use—whether that’s playing tightly with a band, improving your timing, or building technique, speed, and control.
I keep my approach clear, structured, and tailored to your level, so you always know what to work on and how to improve.
My goal is simple: to help you become a confident and capable drummer as efficiently as possible.
I also offer instruction in marching snare drum for those interested, with experience teaching and performing in DCI and WGI groups such as The Cavaliers and Music City Mystique.

My lessons are designed to help you become a tight, confident, and capable drummer—not just someone who practices exercises, but someone who can actually play the music they want to play.
I focus on practical, real-world skills that I’ve developed through years of touring and performing with major label artists. Everything we work on is directly aimed at making you a better player in real situations; whether that’s writing your own drum parts, recording, or playing live.
A typical lesson is tailored to your goals, but often includes:
- Working on groove and timing using real songs
- Targeted exercises to improve speed, control, and consistency
- Breaking down techniques step-by-step so they actually stick
- Playing along to backing tracks to build real musical confidence
You’ll always leave with a clear understanding of what to practice and how to improve with no guesswork, and no wasted time.
What sets my lessons apart is the focus on real playing ability. Instead of generic, context-free exercises, I help you apply everything you learn so you can:
- Play tighter with music
- Build speed and control without developing bad habits
- Develop skills and musical instincts you can use playing in bands, recording, and other live settings
Because of my touring background, I also bring insight into what actually matters as a drummer in real-world situations and not just in the practice room.
