Über Sarah
I am a film and theatre composer with a BA in music from the University of Oxford. I have experience teaching music to nursery-aged children, and teaching the piano and improvisation. I am the resident composer for Nitrous Cow Productions, a London based theatre company, and I am currently working in Berlin as a composer. I am also a qualified harpist, jazz harpist and pianist, and more recently the pianist for an improvised comedy troupe, the Oxford Imps! I also have experience conducting and band leading.
I am able to help with music theory, ear training, the history of music and musical philosophy, piano, harp, composition, songwriting, and improvisation. I'd love to help people at any stage develop a wider understanding a deep love of music!

I strongly believe that learning music should be about listening, creating, and learning the tools to be able to be confident in your own music making and performing. My teaching style is very interactive, as I believe is necessary for music lessons. I am able to teach a comprehensive overview of many aspects of music history, theory, and performance, and I make sure that my students are given a strong foundation to develop their skills from.
