Über Raúl
I have been passionate about the saxophone since I was a child. My artistic focus is on exploring the versatility of the saxophone in various musical genres, from classical to jazz and contemporary music. In addition, Raúl has a deep interest in collaborating with other musicians and creating unique musical experiences through chamber music.
Thanks to my strong academic background in music and extensive performance experience, I have been able to participate in numerous musical projects both solo and in collaboration with other musicians. I have given many concerts in different countries and have been awarded some 25 prizes in different national and international competitions.
I have experience in bands, orchestras, quartets, ensembles, rock bands, jazz groups, big bands... I have recorded several albums of different styles, as well as television programmes such as Dúos Increíbles on TVE.
I have performed on various stages, from prestigious concert halls to international music festivals. My technical skills and musical sensitivity have allowed me to stand out as a saxophonist, receiving praise from both critics and audiences.
I am currently finishing my second master's degree at the Universität der Kunste in Berlin and would love to share all the knowledge I currently have with all of you.

I have about 7 years of experience teaching music lessons. Generally saxophone and musical language, although I have also taught piano, guitar and electric bass.
I organise my teaching methodology in the following sections.
Holistic approach:
For me, musical development goes beyond simply mastering the technique of the instrument. My methodology focuses on the balance between technique, musicality and personal expression, with the aim of forming complete and versatile musicians.
Personalisation of Learning:
Understanding that each student is unique, I tailor my teaching to the individual needs and specific goals of each student. Through careful assessment of each student's abilities and preferences, I develop personalised study plans that maximise progress and enjoyment of learning.
Emphasis on Technique and Musical Foundation:
I believe that a solid technical foundation is fundamental to a student's progress. Therefore, I spend time working on aspects such as embouchure, breathing, fingering and articulation, using exercises and etudes designed to improve technical proficiency gradually and effectively. In addition, I integrate the study of music theory, score reading and understanding of musical language into my lessons, thus strengthening the musical foundation of my students.
Exploring Diverse Musical Genres:
I am aware of the diversity of musical interests of my students, I try to encourage the exploration of various musical genres, from classical to jazz, blues, Latin and contemporary music. This not only broadens the students' repertoire, but also enriches their understanding and appreciation of music in general.
Development of Musicality and Personal Interpretation:
Raul guides his students in the development of expressive and personal musical interpretation. Through the study of musical expression, phrasing, style and improvisation (if relevant to the musical genre), students learn to communicate their emotions and convey their own artistic voice through the saxophone.
Fostering Teamwork and Musical Collaboration:
As an advocate of chamber music, I try to promote teamwork and musical collaboration among my students. I organise opportunities for them to participate in saxophone ensembles, wind quartets, bands and other musical formations, thus providing enriching experiences that strengthen musical communication skills and the ability to work together.
Continuous Growth and Constructive Feedback:
I am committed to the continuous growth of my students, providing constructive and motivating feedback at every stage of the learning process. I focus on self-criticism and a spirit of self-improvement, encouraging my students to set achievable goals and to work consistently to achieve them.
Cultivating a Love for Music and the Saxophone:
Ultimately, my main goal is to cultivate in my students a lasting love for music and the saxophone. Through an educational approach that is both rigorous and passionate, I inspire my students to develop a deep connection to music and to enjoy the process of learning music in all its facets.
