Über Emilie
I am Emilie, a native French student who has lived in different countries (France, Wales, Canada and now Germany) to discover new cultures and improve my language skills. I possess a French BA in American and English Literature, History, Linguistics and Translation (acquired in France) and I have just completed my MA in Translation Studies at Bangor University (Wales). In France, I worked as an English tutor so when I moved to Wales, I became a French tutor. Now, living in Germany, I wish to continue my job as a tutor by teaching you French and sharing with you some unknown aspects of my culture! I would also be delighted if you wished to share hidden facts about your culture during our session!

My classes can be online or in-person. As for the duration, 1h is my recommendation to avoid overloading your brain with too much new information and prevent a focus decline. I accept students between the ages of 14 to 99, it is never too late to learn a new language after all!
After establishing your goals, we will work towards them at your own pace since I believe any individual can learn a language, especially in a stress-free and flexible environment. A typical lesson will start with the theoretical part followed by some exercises and we will finish the last 15-10min with a more relaxing end of the session (i.e. Lyricstraining). While I will follow a teaching plan, if you wish to learn some elements in priority, feel free to ask me! Learning French should not be a chore and too time-consuming so there will be no homework or exams.
