Über Pasquettaz
I have been a PhD student in Germany for three years. My research focuses on political science. For the past three years, I have been teaching university students, supporting them throughout their academic journey and helping them overcome difficulties with their studies and with producing academic-level written work.
Prior to this, in Italy, I taught Italian, French (both of which are my mother tongues) and English, both online and in person. English is the main language I use professionally, for writing academic papers, giving conference presentations and in everyday life. I have also obtained the IELTS (C1) certificate.
I enjoy learning new languages and am currently trying my hand at German (B1) and Japanese (A2). In addition to this, I am passionate about sport, particularly running and climbing.

Hello everyone, I believe that learning a language always hinges on the curiosity and intrinsic motivation we all possess. So it’s always important to start by understanding what drives someone to learn a language.
I like to use presentations and always aim for dynamic lessons, incorporating audio, video and listening exercises, without forgetting, of course, grammar, and making sure to set aside time for conversation. Lessons are always tailored to the student’s specific needs.
I’m currently learning two languages myself (German and Japanese), so I realise how important it is to communicate well with the student, trying to understand their real needs as well as their aspirations, in order to create effective, tailored lessons that aren’t boring or unhelpful.
