Über Joao
In my 8 years of teaching experience, I have had pupils between the age of 5 and 65. Some of my students were awarded prizes in competitions and academic distinctions.
I feel comfortable teaching any level from beginners to advanced students. Wether for fun, preparing for competitions, or with the aim of professional studies, I can help you reach your objectives.
I teach in English or in Portuguese and I hope to be able to teach in German soon!

I'm a pianist and piano teacher based in Freiburg im Breisgau. I have a Master in Music Teaching from Minho University in Portugal and a Master in Performance from the Royal College of Music in London.
Teaching and performing are two passions that I like to combine as I believe they both improve each other.
I worked for 5 years as a piano teacher in Póvoa de Varzim Music School (Portugal) and for the last 2 years in London in the Fireworks Music School.
At the same time, I have been working as a pianist and accompanist, regularly performing in concerts and recitals in the UK, Portugal and Switzerland.
I've been a member of the direction of EPTA Portugal (European Piano Teachers Association) since 2015.
