Über Javier
My name is Javier, I am a professional musician, composer, song-writer and arranger. I am a Contemporary Music Composition graduate, with a master's degree in Popular Music from Goldsmiths University of London.
I have over nine years of working experience in education. I have proficient musical skills in composition techniques, advanced harmony, jazz arranging and production. I have lived and worked as a musician in both Madrid and London. During my time in the UK I wrote and recorded my last album with musicians from Madrid and London such as Pablo Gutiérrez, Daniel García and Ariel Brínguez, Toño Miguel, Marie Abou Khaled and Shayan Fathi. It was released in 2021, titled "Storm and Drive".
In addition to my musical career I have always aspired to a career in education which is one of my biggest passions. I have more than nine years of experience in private tutoring of music (composition, piano and guitar) which has helped me financed my higher education. After graduating from my masters and spending some time in Madrid combining my musical projects, with private tutoring and a job as a music teacher in the school Colegio Pureza de María, I decided to move to Berlin where I currently live working as a musician here.

My method is based on teaching music from perception, the development of musical sensitivity, listening and understanding what makes the great music that we love work. My classes are extremely practical and adaptable to the needs and interests of the student, with music theory concepts being applied to find a unique voice and style composing and writing original songs.
My goal to channel the experience and knowledge that I have acquired working in music helping students become proficient musicians, expand their creativity, challenging them and providing guidance to communicate their feelings and ideas musically and artistically, and deepen their love and understanding of music and song-writing and.
