Hello! I’m Marianne, a fluent Spanish speaker from the Dominican Republic. I offer personalized Spanish lessons for students who want to learn Spanish in a practical, engaging, and enjoyable way.
Whether you are starting from zero, want to improve your conversation skills, or simply want to feel more confident speaking Spanish, I will adapt each lesson to your individual level and goals. My focus is not only on grammar and vocabulary, but on helping you actually use Spanish in real-life situations.
As a native Spanish speaker, I can help you develop natural pronunciation, learn everyday expressions, and understand the way Spanish is really spoken. I’m patient, approachable, and believe that making mistakes is an important part of learning a language.

Teaching techniques and methods
I focus on practical, conversational Spanish and adapt my teaching style to each student’s goals and level. I use a combination of conversation, vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, reading, and listening exercises. My goal is to help students feel comfortable using Spanish in real-life situations rather than only memorizing rules. I encourage students to speak as much as possible and correct mistakes in a supportive and easy-to-understand way.
Typical course of a lesson
Each lesson is adapted to the student, but we usually begin with a short conversation or review of the previous lesson. We then introduce new vocabulary or grammar and practice it through examples, exercises, and conversation. Depending on the student’s goals, we may also work on pronunciation, reading, listening, or everyday situations. I like to finish each lesson with a short recap and practical material to review.
My special features as a teacher
As a fluent Spanish speaker, I can teach natural, everyday Spanish and help students understand expressions and phrases that are actually used in conversation. I am patient, friendly, and adaptable, and I create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions. I also speak English and German, which can be helpful when explaining difficult concepts to international students.
