Über Hyges
Hello! My name is Hyges, and I am currently completing my Master's degree in Environmental Sciences. Alongside my studies, I teach English, Mathematics, and Sports at a private school, giving me experience working with students of different ages, learning styles, and ability levels.
As a native speaker of American English, I enjoy helping students develop confidence in both spoken and written English. My goal is to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and improving at their own pace.
Beyond teaching, I have had the opportunity to travel extensively and meet people from many different cultures, which has strengthened my communication skills and appreciation for language learning. I have also competed in football at a high level, an experience that taught me discipline, perseverance, and the importance of setting and achieving goals. These are values I try to pass on to my students.
In my free time, I enjoy hiking, sports, anime, and spending time outdoors. I believe that learning is most effective when it is engaging and connected to a student's interests, so I always try to tailor lessons to each individual's personality and objectives.

As a native American English speaker and current English teacher at a private school, I strive to create a supportive, engaging, and personalized learning environment for every student.
I typically begin each lesson with a short conversational warm-up, allowing students to practice speaking naturally while building confidence. We spend a few minutes discussing their day, interests, or current events before moving into the main lesson.
The core of the lesson is structured around the student's goals and needs. Depending on the learner, we may work through school material, improve grammar and vocabulary, strengthen writing skills, prepare for exams, or focus on pronunciation and conversational fluency. I believe students learn best when lessons are both well-organized and interactive, so I encourage active participation rather than passive memorization.
My experience includes teaching English in both kindergarten and private school settings, which has given me the ability to adapt my teaching style to different ages, learning speeds, and confidence levels. As a native speaker, I can also help students develop authentic pronunciation and natural expressions. For German-speaking learners who occasionally get stuck, I am able to provide explanations in German when needed.
My lessons are suitable for children, teenagers, and adults, whether they are looking for support with school English, exam preparation, business English, or simply improving their confidence in everyday conversation.
My goal is not only to help students achieve better results, but also to make them feel comfortable using English in real-life situations.
