Über Mathilde
Hello, I’m Mathilde!
I’m a bilingual English-French tutor who loves helping kids and teenagers feel confident speaking English. When I first started at an international school, I didn’t know a single word of English. I learned it from zero, so I know exactly how it feels to be a beginner, and I understand how much patience, encouragement and practice it takes. Today I’m fluent, and I recently completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma, including English Language & Literature at Higher Level.
In my lessons, I keep things friendly, patient and fun, using conversation, games and stories to build vocabulary, grammar and confidence at each student’s own pace. Whether your child is shy, just starting out or already speaking and wanting to improve, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable and motivated. And because I speak French, I can explain tricky points in their own language whenever it helps.
I’d love to meet you in a first lesson. Book a session and let’s get started!

My teaching approach
I make English fun and relaxed through games, stories and everyday conversation, so kids and teens speak with confidence. I’m fluent in French, so I can explain tricky points in French when needed.
Typical lesson structure
A short warm-up chat, then a speaking or reading activity, gentle corrections, and a quick recap of new words.
What makes me different
I recently finished the IB Diploma at an international school, so I know what it’s like to learn in more than one language. I’m patient, positive and adapt each lesson to the student’s pace.
Who my lessons are for
Kids and teenagers, from beginner to upper-intermediate, who want to improve their English overall. Shy students are very welcome.
