Über Maria
Teaching Approach: I'm all about engaging learning, using fun games and real-life scenarios in teaching grammar, conversation, and more. My journey from Universal Music Group's marketing to customer support at Airbnb and Meta, business administration at KraftHeinz, and into renewable energies, IT, security, construction, architecture and other fields, has given me unique insights to share with my students.
Background: Before diving into education, I managed offices, coordinated global events, and handled PR, shaping my understanding of English in professional settings. My academic path includes a Bachelor's and Master’s degrees from Herzen University in English Language and Literature, with additional BA and Diplomas in Audio Production and Film Music, adding a personal creative flair to my lessons.
Languages & Skills: I speak German, English, and Russian (native) fluently, with a good grip on Italian and French, making it easier to connect with students from different backgrounds. My tech-savvy approach means I can teach seamlessly online or in-person, using tools like Skype / Zoom, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite to make learning interactive.
Personal Touch: My love for art, sustainability, and photography isn't just a hobby; it's part of my teaching, bringing culture and creativity into English lessons. Plus, my enthusiasm for sports and travel enriches the vocabulary and cultural contexts we explore together, making each lesson uniquely engaging.
