Über Matin
My name is Matin, 31-years-old, and I think schools generally don't know how to teach languages. I am interested in this subject because I personally remember when I was around 12 years old, living in the United Arab Emirates, we had to learn french and arabic at school. Looking back I know many of the mistakes in their methods. When it comes to languages most people that do well learn most of it outside of school. I've learned many languages and I've even studied the psychology behind language learning. I am eager to share my methods :)
I've been teaching friends since high school and I remember they used to say I have a talent at making complicated concepts simpler to understand, so I mostly tutored math and science. I moved around a lot as a kid so I learned many languages, most of which I have forgotten. But the method of learning a language has always stuck with me.

Language learning should be easy and fun but it is often taught the wrong way. I want to share many tips on how to make it fun again!
My methodology is based on two main pillars: pronunciation and exposure.
First, you have to be confident with sounding like a native. Don't let your muscle memory get trapped in an accent that people don't understand. You literally have to exercise your face muscles to get the right sounds.
Second, we need to find you plenty of interesting content to listen to. Movies, music, podcasts and long youtube playlists all really help and can make you quickly dream in this language. So I will have to get to know you so that I can find them for you to enjoy!
