Über Britta
My name is Britta and I’m a German native speaker who is absolutely passionate about languages and sharing this passion and my knowledge with others. This is why I’ve worked as a tutor ever since I was a teenager, teaching various subjects over time. I’ve worked with primary and secondary pupils, university students as well as professionals who seek to improve their foreign language skills for business purposes or leisure. One of the best things for me about teaching private lessons is that I am able to personalise every single lesson to my students' needs. It doesn't matter if it takes you a little bit longer to be more confident with the language. There's no syllabus we have to follow, no fellow students you can compare yourself against, we can just go at your own pace. And that's fun and relaxing!

My name is Britta and I’m a German native speaker who is absolutely passionate about languages and sharing this passion and my knowledge with others. This is why I’ve worked as a tutor ever since I was a teenager, teaching various subjects over time. I’ve worked with primary and secondary pupils, university students as well as professionals who seek to improve their foreign language skills for business purposes or leisure. Teaching Experience I hold a first-class Bachelor in English and American Studies and Romance Studies and a Master's with Distinction in Scottish Literature. I have several years of experience in teaching and tutoring in various subjects (including English, German and French as well as proofreading term papers or dissertations) and have focused on teaching English and German as foreign languages over the last years. Teaching Approach I am particularly fond of both English and German and deeply enjoy tailoring my lessons to my students’ needs. It is important to me to help my students to become more confident and fluent while providing a flexible, friendly and personalised approach. I believe in making lessons fun and engaging, using a variety of different methods and media, including textbook-based work just as much as interactive online exercises. My lessons focus on the four following skills: Grammar, Vocabulary, Listening, Oral and written production. The minimum duration of my lessons is 45 minutes. I do, however, recommend meeting for at least 60 minutes each lesson so that we don't need to rush. I am also happy to teach small groups. So if you have got any friends or family who would be interested in joining you, just be in touch!
