Über Matias
ENGLISH
Hi! I’m Matías “Tute” González, an Argentine pianist, music teacher and arranger based in Berlin.
I hold a music teaching qualification from the Conservatorio Astor Piazzolla in Buenos Aires and a degree in Music from the Universidad Nacional de las Artes (UNA), Argentina.
My musical background is rooted in Argentine tango, including my work with the Orquesta Típica San Osvaldo in Buenos Aires. My experience also includes jazz trios and quartets, big band and solo piano.
Teaching is a way of sharing what I have learned through studying, rehearsing and performing with other musicians. My aim is to help you understand what you play, develop your listening skills and feel more confident expressing yourself through music.
ESPAÑOL
¡Hola!

ENGLISH
Whether you are starting from scratch, returning to the piano or already playing regularly, we can build lessons around your interests and musical goals. We will work with music you enjoy and exercises that help you progress through that repertoire.
Depending on your goals, we can explore piano technique, reading music, ear training, harmony, accompaniment and improvisation. You can bring a piece you are learning, a song you would like to play, or a musical question you want to understand.
My main speciality is Argentine tango: its rhythms, phrasing, articulation and accompaniment patterns. My experience in jazz and arranging also informs the lessons.
Classes are available in Spanish or English. Lessons at your home in Berlin can also be arranged.

Super recomendable. Martín
