Über Katya

I’m Katya (she/her), a certified Dynamic Mindfulness Yoga Instructor. My father introduced me to yoga when I was child. However, my conscious practice truly began with Iyengar yoga in 2012. I immersed myself in this style and learned a lot about asanas, body alignments and the use of props. Over time, I realized that I want to move away from linear movements and find more freedom in my yoga practice, which led me to the Dynamic Mindfulness School in Berlin.
My classes are inclusive and accessible, with a focus on a functional approach to movement rather than on perfectly shaped poses. I invite people to move with curiosity and playfulness, to find joy in the process and pay attention to the present moment.
I offer in-person and online classes, in both English and Russian.

Private classes individualised and designed just for you. I listen to you carefully and create sequences based on your needs. We will soften, wave, bounce, roll and move away from striving for an ideal form toward sensing how the movement feels from the inside. Together, we explore a variety of transitions between poses with more ease and joy. Each class ends with deep relaxation and/or seated meditation. This practice is beneficial for both your mind and joints. Through regular practice you will learn to pay attention to body and breath in movement as well as in stillness, and gain both strength and mobility.

For private pregnancy yoga classes I create gentle and safe flows depending on your trimester and your needs. Prenatal yoga is more than adapting poses to the pregnant body and has a lot of benefits for this period. Mindful practice allows a pregnant person to take time and connect with the baby and with the changing body. Physically it helps to create more space for the breath, release tensions and back pains and to gain strength and mobility in the body. Regular practice will help you to develop inner strength and prepare your body and mind for the birth. Additionally, I provide stress relief techniques and show you how to use props (or things you can find at home, like pillows and blankets) to support your practice for a happy and healthy pregnancy.
