Über Odessa
Odessa was born in Amsterdam and grew up in Brussels, she moved to Berlin in 2019. Odessa started practicing yoga when she was 16 years old. She got to know yoga through the first style she practiced which was Iyengar yoga. This style emphasis on precise body alignment and giving options to different body types using props. Because Odessa suffered from a scoliosis, it helped her a lot to feel good again in her body and mind.

Odessa wants her students to come to her private yoga class with an open mind believing that yoga is for everybody, but keeping in mind that not all poses are suited for all people. And this doesn’t make you unfit, inflexible or unyogic. She emphasis on the fact that we all have unique body types and that we all should embrace our differences. Our differences are not deficits. Odessa will try to make you understand and get to know the mechanics of your own body, without using any force to come into certain poses. Odessa emphasises a holistic view on yoga which reaches beyond physical postures. Odessa completed her first yoga teach training of 200h in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia in 2019 (Vinyasa). Her second training of 300h was completed in Goa, India in 2023 (Holistic advanced training).
